It was the 7th December 2005 and I was off to rehab.
And that meant stopping drinking forever and that was terrifying!
I was drinking a bottle of vodka a day and if I had carried on I would surely be dead by now.
Scary huh?
But move forward 12.5 years later and I’m happy with a cup of tea and I’m SOOO grateful for the day I went to rehab.
Making changes can be really scary.
Often clients tell me they were terrified of coming to their first session.
Some sat in their cars shaking before coming in.
BUT they did come in.
And as a result they have made big changes in their lives.
We all get scared about change.
But without challenging yourself there is no change.
The funny thing is once a client has done a session with us their whole mindset changes.
They realise they were making a big thing from nothing.
That they have found a bunch of people just like them with similar goals, aspirations, insecurities etc who support each other and keep each other on track.
And as a result they come to most of their workouts and continue to do so for the long term.
They enjoy the experience and feel good about themselves.
And as a result they build healthy habits that serve them well.
And they have structure and with that they keep moving forward and achieve the results that they really want.
Its simple really.
