What our training is like

Having recovered from major brain surgery in 2017 I was keen to take my health and fitness more seriously. After a professional introduction by Kieran I was hooked. The classes are well structured and I obtained excellent results. I love the fact that you turn up and you’re finished within 45 minutes. I train at 6am and it doesn’t interfere with my day. I would recommend Kieran and his first class team to anyone. The people I train with are really friendly and you feel like you’re part of a team.

So what's the cost of this Programme?
To train with us on a personal 1-2-1 basis costs around £40 per session, so 3 sessions per week over 4 weeks would cost £480....
However, this is a group personal training programme and delivers great results like 1-2-1, personal training, but the cost will NOT be £480.
In fact a month of training with us with 3 sessions per week is just £59
Which works out at just under £5 per session.
And with 20% taken OFF that.

We have a good sized training space and loads of hand gel and cleaning sprays and everything that gets used gets wiped down and cleaned as we go.

What Happens After Your Blitz
There is no obligation to stay with us after your 4 week Blitz, but it will give you a really good idea about how we do things and you'll get some great results too!
Monthly Membership - £59
3 group sessions per week
We use Stripe for one off payments and GoCardless to take monthly recurring payments.
We run a progressive, results and commitment focused group programme and regret that we do not offer pay as you go or part time memberships.
Our programme runs to a 46 week format.
So you are only charged for 46 weeks out of 52 and to keep it simple this is divided into 12 monthly payments.
That leaves 4 weeks for which you are not charged.

FAQ's
WHO is this REALLY for?
We specialise in training men and women who are motivated to take control of their health and fitness and get into shape for the longterm and are looking to train in a supportive, progressive and fun environment
There are 3 coached sessions each week and this is a results and commitment focused programme
And while we understand, that other stuff goes on in life and you might not be able to make every session, if you are just looking for pay as you go or can only make 1 or 2 sessions a week, then this is not the right choice for you
Where are the sessions and how long are they?
The sessions are in the 40 Plus Fitness Club studio:
Unit 5, Beckery Road, Glastonbury, Somerset, BA6 9NX
Our sessions are 45 minutes on average
When does the programme start?
Your 4 weeks starts on the Monday you begin and runs until the end your 4th week, which will be a Thursday or Friday depending on which programme you join
Unless Monday is a bank holiday in which case you can start on a Wednesday
What do I need to wear and bring with me? And what facilities are there? And how about parking?
We suggest that you wear comfortable training kit and trainers. A small towel is also a good idea and you should always bring a bottle of water with you. There is a toilet and changing area but no showers
Parking – we are situated on a communal yard and there is usually always space to park outside the studio if you come to our 6am, 6pm or 7pm sessions.
If you attend our 9.30am sessions.
However they are not obligated to do this, as the yard is open to everyone who uses it, but are happy to try anm sessions and there is no space along the fence line outside the studio then you can park on the left hand side of the yard as you drive in opposite Hazy Maes auctions.
The 2 big units alongside Dowden motors require 24 hour access and please don’t park in front of the Garage next door to us while they are open between 8.30am and 5.30am
Dowdens Motors will try to move as many cars as they can when they see our clients arriving for 9.30am sessions.
The 40 Plus Fitness Club signage along the fence line is to help keep the area as clear as possible and does not apply to the garage so please don’t get into an argument with them.
If you attend at 9.30am we suggest you try to arrive early to get a space or park on the roads outside the yard, for instance by the Tor school as there are no yellow lines.

Is this suitable for beginners as I haven't exercised for a while?
Many of our clients are concerned that they are not fit enough to start, but that’s just a normal fear and you will see noticeable changes to your fitness, strength and overall well-being within your first 6 weeks with us.
The training we do is quite high intensity and challenging, but you will not be expected to work beyond your own abilities
Our workouts are designed to get you results and we offer alternatives for exercises where appropriate and all our sessions are coached
Overall if you are motivated and prepared to work at a level that challenges you, then you will do well with us
Is this a weight loss programme? Is it suitable for someone looking to lose a substantial amount of weight?
Our programme is focused on long term health and fitness and whilst weight loss plays a big part for many of our members it is not the main focus
If you are just looking for weight loss, or you have a substantial amount of weight you would like to lose we suggest looking at a more appropriate programme that is weight loss focused
